AIIMS MBBS ResultAIIMS MBBS 2019, New Delhi is a national level undergraduate medical entrance exam to enroll candidates into the MBBS program which is offered at 15 AIIMS across the country. The basic registration process was started from November 30, 2018 and eventually ended on January 03, 2019. AIIMS MBBS 2019 EXAM had two stages to fill the application form –

Stage 1: Basic Registration (till 3rd January 2019)

Stage 2: Final Registration (till 12th March 2019)

AIIMS MBBS 2019 Exam was scheduled on May 25 and 26, 2019. Only the registered candidates were eligible to sit in the exam after completing final registration process, which was started from February 21, 2019.

AIIMS MBBS 2019 was conducted in CBT (Computer Based Test) mode in 2 shifts – Morning and Evening on both the days May 25 and May 26. AIIMS MBBS exam had 200 multiple choice questions from Physics, Chemistry, Biology and General Knowledge sections. The exam duration was for 3Hrs30Min and the exam was constructed in 155 cities approximately. There are total 15 AIIMS institutes.   • The result of AIIMS MBBS is released in the form of percentile scores. AIIMS MBBS 2019 Normalization Process 

The normalization will be utilized to decide on the merit/ranking (used at the time counselling for seat allotment) between those candidates who appeared on examination. The normalization procedure will be adopted on the basis of percentiles.

Percentile Scores

  • These are scores which based on relative performance of all candidates, those appear in the examination.
  • Basically, the numbers secured are converted to scale from 100 to 0 for each group’s test takers.
  • This indicates the percentage of the candidates, who have scored equal or below that particular percentage in that examination.
  • Therefore topper of each group will get equal percentage of 100.
  • The marks secured in between highest & lowest scores are also converted to appropriate percentiles. The Percentile score is Normalized Score for examination.

AIIMS MBBS Cut off

As per AIIMS New Delhi, the AIIMS 2019 Cut Off marks for General Candidates are expected to be 50%, for SC/ST candidates it will be around  40% while for OBC candidates, it is expected to be around  45%. If the percentiles obtained from all four shifts are dissimilar or different, the lower of the four percentiles is expected to be the eligibility cut off in a particular category for all candidates across both shifts.

AIIMS MBBS Qualifying Cutoff for the year 2019 is expected to be the following:

  • For General candidate – 50%
  • For OBC candidate – 45%
  • For SC/ST candidates – 40%

AIIMS MBBS 2017 Merit Percentile Cutoff is as the following:

  • For Unreserved Candidates- 99.001
  • For OBC Candidates- 97.42
  • For SC/ST Candidates – 94.12

AIIMS MBBS 2019 Counselling Process

  • Candidates, those qualify the examination will be called for counselling procedure.
  • AIIMS Counselling 2019 will be started from July 2, 3,4,5,6, 2019. The counselling will be held at AIIMS, New Delhi.
  • The seat will be allotted to candidates on the basis of merit, filled choices, availability of seats, etc.
  • Next the reserved category students will be called up for counselling to fill up the seats available in each institute in order of merit.
  • Candidates must be present in person for allocation of seats. Candidates will select their choice of institute when called for counselling as per their rank in the respective category. Choice once made will be final.
  • Seats will be allotted to aspirants based on their ranks and order of preference.
  • Candidates will be called for counselling 4 times number of seats. Candidates have to bring their documents for verification.

Certain documents should be carried for the counselling round to the center for AIIMS MBBS 2019:

  • Admit card of AIIMS 2019
  • Call letter issued by AIIMS, New Delhi
  • Proof of Date of Birth
  • 10th and 12th Mark sheet and Passing Certificate
  • Migration certificate from the Institute last attended by candidate
  • Caste or category certificate (issued by Competent Authority)
  • 6 recent, passport size photographs
  • One set of self-attested copies of all documents
