Exam Pattern –

The BPSC 2020 Examination is divided into two parts and they are as follows:

Preliminary and Main –

  • About Preliminary Exam: This paper is basically follows Objective Type Pattern. Candidates need to choose one right answer from four available options. Overall there will be 150 questions for 1 mark each. Prelims occupy candidate for 2 hours.
  • About Main exam: This paper is based on written test. It is also called subjective Type examination.

Selection Process –

The selection procedure is based on the performance attained in examination as well as interview, The written test is the part of Main Exam. It includes four papers:

  • Hindi
  • General Studies
  • First Optional Paper
  • Second optional paper
  • Total marks for written examination will be 1200
  • For qualifying Hindi exam, aspirant is required to attain at least 30 marks.

General Studies paper is split into two categories- GS Paper I and GS Paper II. The maximum marks for GK is 200. Three hours of duration will be given for completing the paper. General Studies section is further divided into three sections including:

Paper 4 – paper I of First Optional subjects for 200 Marks

Paper 5 – paper II of First Optional subject for 200 Marks

Second Optional Paper –

Paper 6 – paper I of Second Optional Subject for 200 Marks
