Swasthya Sahayak scheme will thus help these workers to conduct basic diagnostic tests at people’s doorstep so that every individual will get basic health care.Under the scheme breast cancer screening initiative as launched by Smriti Irani, the Anganwadi and healthcare workers will be screening women for breast cancer using handheld devices. This initiative mainly aims to reach out to the women in rural parts of the Goa state. With breast cancer screening initiativeit is thus expected that the delivery of health services will become more approachable and affordable. Using this device, around 20,000 women are expected to be screened for breast cancer.
