UPJEE CUT-OFF MARKS 2019:

Firstly, candidates should know the meaning of cut-off. Cut-off is nothing else then the mark set by the any authority or board that conducts any exam, which is well-thought-out as the passing or clearing the level of the examination.

It is based on cut off; candidates are short listed for advance stages of selection procedure.

The cut off varies for different exams for different examinations. It also varies with the availability of vacancies and the level of competition. Let us explain with an example, suppose there are 15 candidates appearing for examination to become a PO in a bank but there are only total 2 vacancies, so the bank has to eliminate some candidates and retain few for the next level of selection, like interview. So they will put a cut off which is definitely an above the usual mark for an examination conducted thus removingfew low scorers and selecting others for next level.
