All about UPSC Prelim result 2019 !

UPSC exam is the most prestigious exam conducted every year for the recruitment of officers in central government. The post includes Indian Administrative Service (IAS) , Indian Police Service (IPS), Indian Foreign Service (IFS) etc. Union Public Service Commission conducts UPSC exam and thus gives a chance to people of India to be a part of civil service and work for nation.

It empowers an individual with dignity, power, and emotional satisfaction. The only exam which gives an individual the authority to help people from ground level to upwards. This year exam was conducted at various places in India on 3rd June 2019.

UPSC Prelim result 2019 !  

UPSC result is expected to be out by 2nd week of July. Resulted will be uploaded on the official website of UPSC which is . UPSC prelim 2019 was conducted on 3rd June 2019 all over the country. Exam was conducted in two session . First session was for General studies and the second session was for CSAT . Candidate has to attempt both session.

The Prelim Paper was conducted in offline mode. It was made mandatory for candidates to carry black ball pen to mark their answers on OMR sheets. Paper was thus conducted successfully all over the nation.

Since it’s a central government job, lots of people aspire for getting selected and hence the selection criteria gets difficult. Many aspirant has given UPSC prelim but only selected  number of aspirants will be given the opportunity to participate in the mains exam.

UPSC Prelim Cut off 2019 !   

UPSC exam has the maximum number of aspirant but only cream aspirant get into the service . Thus in order to shortlist these candidate UPSC selects candidate in three stage. Prelim, mains and interview. Hence the first round has been successfully completed on 3rd June 2019. Once the result is out, candidate can their preparation for Mains . Mains exam is expected to be conducted in the month of September 2019. After Mains , some candidate will again be shortlisted for interview process which will be held most probably in March 2020.

UPSC sets the cut off for Prelim exam. If candidate score the minimum cut off , he/she gets eligible for further round. Also candidate anyhow needs to score 33% in CSAT to get qualified . If candidate scores 33 % marks in CSAT then only his GS paper is checked. In GS paper he needs to get the cut off marks.

Cut off is decided as per the number of candidate appearing for exam . Different category has different cut off. Given below is the UPSC prelim cut off scores for GS . These Scores are predicted based on previous years cut offs for UPSC Prelim exam 2019.

5 PwD category 75 to 85 marks

Depending on the category candidate need to score the min cut off marks in GS paper to get qualified for the mains exam.

How to check UPSC prelim result 2019 !

UPSC prelim was conducted on 3rdJune 2019. The results are expected to be out by 2nd week of July 2019. Candidate need to check their result on official website only. UPSC will be uploading the result pdf on the official website soon.

  3. Candidate need to click on link.
  4. PDF will be opened
  5. Candidate can now check their exam roll no. If candidate has cleared the cut off his / her roll number will be available in the pdf and if the roll no is not available , it means candidate has not qualified the examination.

Civil Service Mains Exam strategy :-

Once the Prelim result is out and candidate has qualified the examination. The next step is to gear up the preparation strategy for main exam. Prelim exam is just qualifying in nature where as mains exam marks are added up to get the final merit list. So candidate must have preparation strategy for mains in such a way that they can score the max they could.

Mains paper have qualifying language papers and then GS-I , GS-II, GS-III and GS- IV. Candidate knowledge is completely tested in this stage. They have to write subjective answers in 250 words. From framing the answer to getting the concrete structure , marks are evaluated . So candidate make sure you write to the point and good framed answers.
